Hatchway, Carrefour sign deal
Bahrain-based Hatchway Entertainment has tied up with Carrefour, the world’s second largest hypermarket chain, to bring the best in audio and video products - from both the latest releases to the all time favourites - into the Kingdom.
The deal between Hatchway Entertainment and Carrefour Hypermarkets will allow the latest formats of media products to be available for the consumers in the Kingdom with release dates being in line with the international markets.
"It will allow customers to find the latest and favourite titles in a great location with ongoing all year long promotions" said Dr. Ahmed Al Khuzaie, chairman of Hatchway Entertainment.
"The outstanding developments in the entertainment industry and its products in the last few years has been amazing. As new technologies bring us higher definitions of quality and clarity to enrich the viewing and listening experience with better and more affordable television sets, home theatre systems and DVD players coming to the market, so does the products that would run on these new systems."
"This is where we come in as we promise to provide the local population with the best & most affordable entertainment experience," he explained.
Additional services that Hatchway Entertainment will be offering for the first time through Bahrain City Centre’s Carrefour Hypermarket is the Wish List program.
"Under this scheme, customers can request any title whether old or new to be made available for purchase in Carrefour by simply sending an email. They will get notified once the title requested is made available," he stated.
"The Ministry of Culture and Information’s strict regulations against piracy has given the entertainment business a breathing space to work and price within the international standards, supporting copyrights and endorsing original products will make it easier for companies to offer better prices and services in the future," Dr Al Khuzaie pointed out.
